The purpose of launching this project is to give persons with learning difficulties the opportunity to learn to live in a group home environment and also to offer respite to their parents or guardians. We have set up our first group home on 3rd February 2004 in Puchong. We have 6 residents and Ms Peggy Che is the house guardian.
The residents experience independent living by learning the various living skills. They are assigned house chores like sweeping, cleaning, cooking, laundry etc. They also have time to improve themselves on reading and writing skills.
